Breaking News: Dog Chapman bond stands!

August 18th, 2007

In a shocking move, a federal magistrate in Honolulu has ordered the bond remain in effect for the reality TV star’s year old case seeking extradition to Mexico.  A court dismissed the charges last month against Chapman, his son Leland and associate Tim Chapman but Thursday Judge Barry Kurren left the bond in effect.  (Not a Dog fan I take it?)  An appeal has been filed by the Mexican prosecutor.  If convicted, the trio faces up to four years in Mexican jail.

Dog and his wife Beth released a statement today saying he was “devastated” and they are urging fans of the show and/or his mission to protest the decision.

Hasn’t the judge realised that sending the Chapmans back to jail will probably cause their lives to be threatened and more bail jumpers? Dog and team are the greatest Bounty Hunters alive, and are well respected by almost everyone. GIVE THE CHAPMAN’S A BREAK!
