There’s time to participate in this week’s spudalicious Four Foods on Friday. Swing on by Val’s Place to play along.
#1. Potato Chips. What kind of chips are your favorite?
Hmm, I’m not a big chip eater. When I do it’s either Sun Chips, Doritos, BBQ chips or those salt and pepper kettle chips. It just depends on what kind of mood I’m in when we do have them for a cookout.
#2. What’s your favorite thing to dip chips in?
Without a doubt, Kroger dip or nothing at all.
#3. What’s your favorite way to eat a baked potato?
I like twice baked potatoes but typically I’ll use butter, black pepper and A1 steaksauce. Mmmm.
#4. How do you make mashed potatoes?
Yukon Gold potatoes for no skin and red skin potatoes for skins on. Boil ‘em up, add a about 1/4 c. butter and heavy whipping cream to the consistency you prefer. It HAS to be cream to get that gourmet taste, they’re worth the calories! LOL If you REALLY wanna go gourmet, add a head of roasted garlic and freshly chopped parsley or chives. Drool…now I’m hungry.

Wow, A-1 on your baked potato is not what I was expecting. But I love both so I bet it’s good. My son’s love A-1 on everything so I’ll have to introduce that to him.
If my doctor thinks my cholesterol is high now, wait till she sees it after I put heavy whipping cream in my mashed potatoes! LOL

I’m surprised by how many of us aren’t chip eaters!
Yeah, maybe a lot of us don’t eat chips because of all the fat and calories and lack of any nutrition.
