Bounty Hunter Tim Chapman acquitted

The ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ sidekick was found not guilty of indecent exposure yesterday. The judge said that there was no proof that Chapman intentionally exposed himself. The prosecutor said by him fleeing the scene it made him look guilty but Chapman claimed it was incurring the wrath of Beth Chapman that caused him to flee. She’d just warned everyone two days prior about not bringing any more negative publicity. (This was at the height of Dog’s own negative publicity for racist remarks he made during a private conversation to his son.) Tim Chapman (no relation to Dog) said he fought the charge because a conviction would’ve made it harder to fight for custody of his kids. He was served with divorce papers by his wife Davina the day his trial began.

I am glad Tim was acquitted. I do not believe he was doing anything but changing out of wet clothes. Not geting out of the truck was smart, hard to tell who was around to take pictures, the way they are ALL hounded by the press is horrible. Is DOG standing behind Tim? Will Tim be back on the show? And When? We miss him. Thank you.

Haven’t heard anything about Tim coming back to the show except that right after he was acquitted, Tim did suggest he might try to see if there could be a working relationship in the future. Fans of the show, keep your fingers crossed!

I’m glad he was acquitted but as Dog found out, A&E considers people guilty until proven innocent. I hope they see the error of their ways. The show sends a message of second chances but apparently it is “do as I say not as I do”. If it’s Dog and Beth holding up the return then shame on them. But I think it’s A&E just by past behavior on this show and others.

I am glad Tim was acquitted; his wife Davina was wrong for leaving him over this incident. What is she going to say to the children; for not believing in their dad.It is natural that Dog and Beth would not have him on the show, while his charges were pending. But now he deserves to come back. This is not a second chance because he did nothing wrong – according to the law.

I am so glad Tim was acquitted, I did not believe the charges anyway, and I was right. I hope he is able to return to the show. But I believe that Beth, will not have that, but I feel that it is up to Dog, or it should be. The show is not the same without him. He was part of the team, and none of them should turn their back on him, and if they do….SHAME ON THEM…..

watching the show,unless the dog does the right thing. Please A&E CANCELL THE DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER SHOW for using GODs name in pretending to being such a good and fair person. The dog is turning his back on his own brother when he needs his family the most.

I think some people need use their brains. If he was in the truck naked performing lewd acts, who would know? Unless he was standing on his head or someone was right beside the truck looking in, no one would see, even if it were true. Just another bunch of bs in the rumor mill against good people. If he had tried to run over the security guard, does anyone really believe he would let Tim off the hook? Unless someone can offer proof as to why his wife left, leave the family alone. Or don’t you have anything better to do?

Always a fan, BUT, Tim Chapman is so very missed on new show season. Show is missing the presence of Tim and the absence of his vitality and strength in character.

I think now that he has been acquitted of these charges, A&E should get him back on the show. If it is the Chapman family standing in the way of that, then that would be rather hypocritical. His wife Davina may have left Tim for all sorts of reasons, but it was bad optics for her to leave right at the start of his trial. I hope Tim can recover from all of these hardships and get to where he belongs: at Dog’s side, helping to clean up Hawaii!

Tim made a mistake like all Americans, I want him back and his wife must not love him like she should or she would not have left him. Hey Dummy take him back haven’t you ever made a mistake.Dog he needs another chance like you take him back, then if he goofs up again let him go like you always say “GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE AND FORGIVE”. That is what Christ did he gives everyone a second chance.

I was wondering why Tim was no longer on the show. The show is not the same without him. Tim, Dwayne Lee and Leland make the show worth watching, they are silent most of the time yet effective. When the show first began, I cannot understand why the credits listed Beth as Dogs wife, when she wasn’t and Tim as his brother when he isn’t. I also do not like Dog quoting from the bible and praying before each bounty, then using profanity during the show.

Keep in mind this is not a scripted T.V show but at the same time I dought VERY much that Dog would be able to bring up such a touchy subject on air without discussing it with the producer’s of A&E. They probably told him to keep his mouth shut.

I personally didn’t like Tim as I noticed whenever he got someone in handcuffs, suddenly he would act like Mr. Tough guy. He actually made me sick and was the only member that I didnt’ like.

Stop acting like its Dogs fault that Tim is not on the show. I just read an article that it was Tims decision not to be on this season for “personal reasons”. Alot of the people out there are getting mad at Dog for something that is not in his control. Tim will be back when he is ready.

Dog, you and Beth should be ashamed of yourselves. You hunt convicts, addicts, etc. and give them peace of mind before they are locked up and speak of another chance. Where is Tim’s second chance. If he made a mistake – he paid the price – now go give him another chance. Do as you preach brother. I will not watch the show again until you have come to terms with your family and friends. You both were given a second chance – let’s not forget that. God Speed my son.

Why does it say in prior episodes, that Tim is Dog’s brother.Here it says he’s not!!!! I’m rooting for Tim. I agree with Linda M. I aslo wholeheartledy agree with MJ Willson. As a church going person, I find the language mixed with the profanity,hypocritcal. In addition I would like to add that although I like beth, dog, and all the cast. I think Beth needs to cover up more…

Chapparita- Dog and Tim share a last name (coincidence) and bond like brothers which is why he always referred to him as such. Dog has said he’s not relation and Hawaiian newspapers report the same.

I’m glad Tim was acquitted because so called celebrity’s are often charged with trumped up charges. As far as him not being on the show I’m glad he’s not on there also. I think Tim acted like somebody who never does anything wrong and was better than everybody else. He also acted like a punk.

I truly think Tim should be back on the show. Their is nothing to forgive Tim for, he did nothing wrong and the courts said so. I stopped watching the show when Tim left because the way they all acted from Dog on down the line. They need to put Tim back on the show now. Beth swears like a sailor and loses her temper too easy. Wow! I am blown away with all of this talk about Tim.
I had not heard anything about these charges against Tim I only knew that he was not on the new shows this season.

So I googled his name and found all the crap about him and was I surprised!

First let me say that IF any of it went down the way it is said to be then I would be amazed!

There is so much stuff made up good and bad about celebs that it is a shame.
What it is they say,it sells!

What a sad comment it is on us as a people.
Can we never just wait to see what is real or fiction?
Or are our own lives so miserable that we latch on to any gossip just to make us feel better about our own self?
I hope not!

As for Tim I am sure the Dog team will work something out to the mutual good of all.

Why is everyone calling Dog and Beth hypocrites? If they were truly hypocritical, they would be verbally slamming Tim all over the place, and I have yet to see that.

I am also a God fearing woman, however, I have cussed here and there. And hoonestly, I am happy they quote the Bible on their show. It is nice for non-believers to see that believers are truly human, and not some unattainable standard of perfection.

Ok lets just give Beth and Dog a chance to respond. I didn’t think Tim was guilty either until we know why he is not on the show we cant past judgment. Beth and Dog you need to know we love the show Tim was innocent and although negative impact has cast on the show from many angels Dog, Dog son, now Tim everybody deserves a second chance You know it and A&E knows it! We miss him and if he desires to come back the family needs to forgive and move forward! We see you as a family and you have one missing you are not complete!

I too missed seeing Tim on the show and decided to find out why. Whether the story is true or not only Tim knows. Also, no one other than A&E, Dog, Beth, and Tim know why he has yet to return. I don’t think anyone should be blamed until the truth is out there and who knows if it ever will. Yes, Dog and Beth do curse alot which isn’t very Christian like but who is to say what is right or wrong other than GOD himself? Unless you’re perfect you shouldn’t be criticizing another person.

After reading all of the above statements which seem to say the exact thing, I too, feel Tim should be back on the show. Whatever happened in his personal life has nothing to do with the show. Everyone knows how much he was dedicated to his family so not knowing what caused his wife to leave has nothing to do with the show. The other charge proved he was not quilty and now it is his second chance ot third chance which ever it is since they preach it to druggies. wife beaters ect., Tim needss to come back. He was a great part of the team and needs to return. My sister and I make a dinner date together to watch this show every Wed. and we do miss him. Please bring him back.

WOW !!! I love the show and every member of the team has issues now and then. I live in Denver and have a fantasy about meeting the team and asking for a job!!!
I don’t believe for a mili second Tim would do anything like what he was accused of but, then many people aren’t as they appear. Dwayne and Beth; If you know the truth and Tim has been cleared, where is your mercy and unconditional love as that of Christ? Tim is your brother and was and should still be part of the team if he has been cleared, but he should never have been made to feel alone in a situation like this. I mean his wife left him, his life with his children are forever changed. And family should NEVER turn on family. C’mon now. Give Tim a shot like you do with strangers. Bring him back and if A&E says no, then you all should give up the show in SUPPORT of your brother. Blood or not, that’s how we all know Tim, as Dog’s brother.
Tim , Iam so sorry you have had such trials of late. Hang in there and know that LOTS of Dog fans will leave him if he doesn’t do the right thing.

Glad to see that Tim was found not guilty, thought the charges were rather strange. reports were that Tim was not in the series due to personal reasons. He will be back when he is good and ready, Dog wouldn’t turn his back on some one after 25+ years. For all of you blaming Dog, Beth etc. for him not being on the show, don’t you think you should wait to find out the facts before you point the figure, what proof have you got that it is because of them that he is not back on the show. ABSOLUTELY NONE. if you don’t like the language they use or the praying and trying to get people to change their ways or the way Beth dresses don’t watch the show, no one is forcing you to, there are plenty other shows you could watch.

It’s a TV show….people need to calm down. I have a hard time believing that Tim was seriously trying to do something lewd. I understood that his wife had an affair which left her pregnant and thats why the divorce.
We don’t know what type of marriage they had, many factors that were kept personal. Don’t judge the family on face values, they do step it up a bit for the cameras and remember they have all had hard lives and managed to turn themselves around.
I believe they care deeply for each other as well as the fugitives they capture (especially if they need it). Good luck to all for the future, I hope the wounds heal and things can return, not to normal but better than.

Saw Tim was at Baby Lyssa’s wedding actually in the front row on last night’s episode. That was also Tim’s bounty they were working (don’t even get me started how inappropriate it was for Dog to yank Lyssa out of her own rehearsal dinner!) They obviously still have a good relationship with him. Maybe there’s hope yet for Tim’s return!

I feel everyone should have a second chance,God gives use all total forgiveness if we ask, so if God forgives we should also,God is the one who brings judgement on use so we should not judge Beth and Dog for we all will have a judgement day, I too would like to see Tim back, and the bad words need to be addressed to all on the show and the way they dress should be addressed to both Beth and Dog they both show to much skin I know that is what sells on TV shows, but come on A&E letting these people dress like this, and not alouding second chances,is a bit much even for TV just remember God see’s all and knows all and we all will answer for what we do……

Tim was such an important part of the show, it is flat without him. I hope his personal life is better than it was. Why was he unable to afford to rent an apartment and have to live in his van. Seems the show makes enough money for Beth and Dog, they need to share some of the wealth. Davina should have been more appreciative of being married to a decent man, and thought about her actions before she had an affair.

I too love the show. Have been watching it for years. The reason it is so successful is because the “team”,for the most part, are being themselves. That includes the language. At least the words are bleeped so that it is left up to the viewer’s imagination regarding what is actually said. Let’s not bring God into. Language does not determine a person’s faith in God, the heart & soul does, and I believe all of the Chapman’s are good soulful people. Look at how many movies there are where the words are NOT bleeped out. As for Beth, haven’t you ever heard of “behind every good man stands a good woman?” She is a take charge type of person and she shouldn’t be condemned for her personality. Judge not, lest ye be judged. I, also, was appalled at the fact that Dog had the team leave the rehearsal dinner the way he did, but by the same token, the show is called “Dog, The Bounty Hunter” not “The Life and Times of Baby Lyssa.” They have an obligation and a commitment to fulfill a contract and if they choose to bring in personal issues on top of that then compromises need to be made. The respect that Dog “commands” is no longer taken seriously in our society and that is a real shame. I mean can you imagine if Baby Lyssa had “stood up to” (the girl in the limo with Baby Lyssa, her words not mine) Dog and said, “screw you, Dad” back when Dog “made” her become a bounty hunter? She so badly didn’t want to be a bounty hunter that she was in tears. But, thankfully her dad saw something in her that she didn’t even see herself and she is a much better person because of it. Plus, she wouldn’t be featured in the opening credits and wouldn’t have been able to wear the cool leather outfit she wears if she had made another career choice. I do agree, however, that until all of the facts are revealed, people should just back off and enjoy the show because, afterall, TV shows don’t last forever and whatever happens happens. If it is meant for Tim to come back then he will come back.

Hey all.

It appears from A&E and all of the official information released through the press, it was TIM CHAPMAN’S decision not to be on the Dog The Bounty Hunter show while his court case/divorce was pending. That seems appropriate to me: his focus and energy needed to be spent clearing his good name. And I personally am delighted that he seems to have done so and will be praying that he and Davina can miraculously work out their differences as well and heal their family.

I think it shows grace, respect, and honor for the rest of the Chapmans to not speak about what is happening with Tim at ALL during this sensitive time in his personal life. It has to be eating away at them, too, surely. He certainly seemed an instrumental person in their personal and professional lives for decades.

I love the show and have met the Chapmans. Though our family lives a VERY different, conservative life, I would never want for these amazing people to change one iota of themselves to make me feel more “comfortable” – I feel that would make ME a JUDGMENTAL HYPOCRITE who focused on outward appearance vs. the soul – I love that they are authentically who they are and operating from God’s instruction manual, not looking for the world’s approval. May God continue to bless every one on the Dog the Bounty Hunter crew. I hope Tim rejoins them soon and makes them whole again. I miss him, too.

Tim is awsome.The isn’t the same with out him.I’m glad he was found not guilty.I knew he wasn’t.He does need to come back on the show.That really sucks though that Davinia is divorceing him.He should fight for his kids.Tim and Dog and the Team have not lost my respect.They are still my heros I look up to them.They should not cancel the show, I think they should show it more.

The way I see it, you’re watching the episodes now that were filmed when Tim was still awaiting trial. They will have a new season filmed AFTER the trial. If he is not on that one, then scream and complain. As to the person who said “Tim is Dogs half brother” you are incorrect. Tim is of no relation at all of Dog or his family. He just happens to have the same last name. It says it in this article and also in Dogs book, You can run, but you can’t hide”

Tim has been on the show Dog the bounty hunter since it started and now with out a word from anyone he was no longer on the show…I wrote to you all before and got no answer at all…then when he went to trial for that stupid case and thank god he was aquitted for that showing his parts in public..and now I understand they may be getting a divorce and i hope that does not happen… He loves his children and wife so very much and you can see this on the show and I do not believe he was acting on the show about his love for his family….I think that all of this was because of all the stress that they were under and not everyone takes stress the same way..I hope and pray that they do not get a divorce and I hope that he gets on the bounty show again…its not the same without;…hope every thing works out for you Tim and God bless all of you and family and all of the bounty familys too….

I just wanted to say that I watch the show every Wednesday night. I would like Tim to return. The only thing I have a problem with is Dog using foul language using God’s name in vain. On one hand he is standing in a circle praying “in Jesus Name” and then when he is out stalking a bail jumper etc. he starts using the F word. That is not being a Christian. Sorry, but it is true. The Bible says “Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord thy God in Vain.” Thank you.

I hope and pray they bring back Tim soon! He is very good at what he does, it seems like he can sense when a fugitive is nearby. The show just doesn’t seem as exciting without “Youngblood” chasing fugitives. I miss you Tim.

i cant believe that dog and beth could be 2 faced. I thought they were good people. the bible saids do not judge others. dog and beth needs to walk the path they preach. they need to forgive and give 2nd chances like they do on tv. even if tim did what they say he did .what dog said to his son was worse. and we forgave him. but if dog does not do the right thing and let tim come back his show it may not last. you dont do people wrong and get by with it. in others words what goes around will come around in full force. dog is luck to have a show as old as he is and he is able to get around as good as he does.

I am a professional bounty hunter and J L C is out of his mind! Every one does things differently and what works for him is fine. You have your ways, I have my ways, and Dog has his ways. It seems to be working considering he has his own show and actually provides a service to the state of Hawaii. Quit being a hater and give some props to a member of our small community because he has actually made it big cuz if u had a chance to have a show would you like people speaking badly about you? I am glad that Tim was acquitted. OK Dog. Now it is time to give Tim a “2nd chance” and bring “your brother” back on the show. Why did his wife divorce him? She has 2 kids by him and left him because of this mess? Please, you need counseling and you two need to talk and hopefully reconsider this action. He loves you and his kids. If there are problems, WHICH ALL MARRIAGES HAVE, work them out. Davina, you are a beautiful woman and I really believe that Tim loves you very much. I hope this can be resolved and you two and get back together.

I had also wondered where Tim was so I did some searching on the Net. I was very surprised to find on one site his employer is now listed as Island Bail Bonds; a new company owned by Tim Chapman. Searching through Dog’s site there are no pictures, no mention of Tim except in the discussion boards. One question “where is Tim?” was answered tersely by a staffer with the comment “Tim Chapman is not a part of this website.”
IMHO, this certainly leads one to believe they have cut him out of their lives and business completely. I sincerely hope this is not the case. I would think even if he had requested to not be on the show this year, they would still be able to employ him and surely a note stating he is in their thoughts and prayers would be appropriate. I think it is the complete lack of response from Dog and Beth that is causing many people to question their commitment and support of Tim.

I sure hope Tim comes back.. he did a lot for this show and it is a huge loss for the show .. I keep looking for Tim. I know he did not intend to cause this ruckus. He has been a good person through and I know his background, there is no way he will do anything wrong on purpose. Now that he has been acquitted, this can be put in the past and moved on. Beth…. you had chances and you …. in my opinion can be a hard person to deal with… I am amazed Dog has lasted this long with you and married you. Give Tim the chance like YOU Have recieved and the rest of the team aswell. You are all in need of Tim coming back. I know this. DOG if you were a true friend… YOU know better to get him back and HELP him in a time of need. I cannot fathom you ditching Tim after a lifelong relationship as a brother even though you are not blood brothers….. still… lifelong… no matter what… you both stood for eachother and I hope you know better than that. I thjnk it is easy to pass judgement for Tim & his wife.Legaly he was found not guity. We need to forgive him. Sadly no one knows what was lived in his familly so who are we to speculate? As for Beth. She has a very bizzard way to dress and her vocabular is for show only. She has children so has he so has them. I wonder what all their children think when they see their familly’s apparel and hear the profanity that comes from their roll model. In closing, ask yourselves if Tim want’s to come back on their show, even if the pay was generous.

My husband and I both miss Tim being on the show. We still watch the show every Wednsday and we love it but Tim needs to come back. We personally are glad they actually pray on the show because there is not a whole lot of people in this world who are open about their religions becuase of critisism. We are proud that there are still a few people like Dog who stand up for what they believe.

To Tim Chapman..sometimes life is cruel at the most tragic times…one must know that life isn’t perfect and sometimes we are subjected to redicule even if it means destroying someones identity.

You are a good man Tim..no matter what has transpired you are strong set your chin high and know that time is the answer..not blaming your self but getting past the tragedy of a broken family must be your priority.

I’m sure your wife loves you or you wouldn’t have had beautiful babies together…give her time and let her deal with the issues now that you have been equited..nothing will change for the better until you’ve had time to come together and talk it out..if she can’t take you for better or for worse as you would her then her vows mean nothing just empty words.

We don’t know why you haven’t been back on the show…remember how long Dog had to wait to get back on the air after his remarks were made public..no one is perfect Tim and life is a learning process trust your heart love your babies and put your trust in God.

To Dog and Beth..we know how public happenings can change ratings and the networks attitude to continue running a show. We as the viewing audience trust that you will do everything to lift Tim up at his darkest hours..let your prayers be for him listen to your words Dog..everyone deserves a second chance.

Without Tim your show will have an emptiness that no ones shoes can fill for you must know tha if a pitcher fails on the mound the whole team effort is lost…and with Tim you are quite a team..give this man his dues he is responcible for your success too.

I wish you continued success you have felt the darkest hours and and your losses have been great..remember to help a brother who has helped you come through the tuffest of times..listen to your heart and know what God would do.

Well, I think that what Dog says or in this case doesn’t say. Tells the entire world the kind of person he is. He doesn’t have to go ito details. I’m sure Tim doesn’t want that. But he could pray for him, ask us to pray for him, something! But I do think he needs to make his feelings known both as the “Dog” s well as the man that he plays on TV. Not currently and at this time there is no ETA as to when or if he will return. Tim has run a successful bail bonds business (sometimes featured on DTBH) for many years and is likely focusing on that for now.

Tim was judged, “NOT GUILTY”. Only God knows the difference. I am sorry that you are being divorced, but I, do not know the details, so I cannot comment on that, and neither should anyone else. As for Dog and Beth. People are right. You Pray, and then it’s—”G Damit Beth”, that M****er F******, and a lot more cussing. Beth, is just as bad, and cusses like a sailor. What an influence on her children. She must be proud. Of course, she is well endowed, and she sure does flount it!! COVER UP, Beth. No one cares to see that fat bouncing around. I think you are a beautiful person, and don’t need to degrade yourself that way. You, too, Dog. TIM deserves to come back, or I go with the other’s, and not watch, anymore.

I am glad that Tim was found not guilty. Supposedly, in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty…but…apparently that is not always the case. I’m sorry to hear his wife divorced him but I know he loves his kids a great deal and is a great dad. I have missed seeing him on the show and he was a great asset to the show and bounty hunting. I hope Tim comes back to the show soon…he’s been missed.

i think the ones saying shame on dog and beth… it was never said they turned their back on tim. they still spoke to him and were friends. i agree that tim not be in untilthe charges were dropped bc it is sending bad messages to the children that watch. so as for everyone. i say dog and beth did great by tim. i lovetim and glad that he took time to raise his children and glad he is back on atleast for now

Dog and Beth should have stood behind Tim in his time of need. And I’m sure Beth had something to do with that,and there family reputation,just in case. But Tim had never done anything in the past like flashing his body, but Beth has bad feelings for Tim,theres episodes showing her being hateful,like she hates you. Tim I know you’re a good man, with beautiful babies. Only Dog has to put up with Beths attitude problem. She probably handles the money, so she can get her hair and nails done. Make sure You have a tight contract, family or not, just because Beth is there, no matter what Dog your brother says sorry. Save yourself and your babies.
