Aloha Friday Recipe: Macadamia Nut Phyllo Sticks

INGREDIENTS:
2 tbsp. Clarified Butter
1 Sheet Phyllo Dough
4 tbsp. Macadamia Nuts
2 tbsp. Granulated Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tbsp. White Chocolate
2 tbsp. Dark Chocolate
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Roll up one sheet of phyllo dough horizontally and cut sheet into four even tubes. Unroll each tube and brush each sheet evenly with clarified butter.
Mix macadamia nuts, sugar and cinnamon together. Place equal amounts of nut mixture at the end of each sheet of phyllo. Roll nut mixture tightly in each sheet of phyllo and brush lightly with butter. Dust lightly with sugar and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. (Approximately 10 minutes) Let cool. Dip one end of stick in dark chocolate and the other end in white chocolate. Stack sticks for presentation.

Where can I find “real” malasadas in San Diego? Nothing can compare to Leonard’s in Honolulu.L&L’s has malasadas, but… yuck!
